Our international coaching staff have been specifically selected based on their experience and overall coaching excellence. Crossfire Oregon staff have a balanced set of soccer specific coaching credentials ranging from USSF A Licenses to USSF National Youth Licenses to NSCAA Advanced National Diplomas to NSCAA National Diplomas. Coaches have also undergone other trainings such as concussion management, speed and agility, and other skills that are of sgnificant benefit to our players.

When combined with motivated soccer players who are eager to develop themselves to the best of their ability our coaching staff have the attributes to help players develop themselves to the next level be it within Senior National teams, Youth National teams, MLS teams, College programs, High School programs, or simply playing soccer due to the fact that they enjoy 'the beautiful game'.


Eric McClellan

Coach Eric McClellan brings a wealth of experience, both playing professionally and coaching at the youth and college level. In 2016 Eric stepped down from his position as men's assistant soccer coach at Linfield College to focus his attention on coaching with Crossfire Oregon. Eric has coached club locally for Southside SC, and Westside Metros, and Willamette United SC prior to landing on staff at Crossfire Oregon.

As a member of the Virginia Tech University Sports Hall of Fame, McClellan is the Hokies' all-time leading goal scorer and was a four-time all-Metro Conference and three-time All-South Atlantic Region performer. He then played eight years in the professional leagues, winning two National Indoor USISL Championships. McClellan has more than 23 years of coaching experience at the youth, collegiate and adult levels. Eric coached the Portland-based Kells FC Men's Over 30 club, which won three league titles and once advanced to and became the runner-ups in the National Championship game. Most recently, he headed the men's soccer program at Tualatin High School, where he was a three-time conference coach of the year.

He and his wife, Lisa, live in Wilsonville with their three active children: Madison, Jaiden, and Donovan. All 3 kids proudly represent Crossfire their respective classic and ECNL teams.

Fraser Morrison

Fraser came to the US after growing up in London. He progressed through the coaching school's culminating with him passing his USSF A License in 2006 in Deerfield, MA. Some of his coaching experience in the UK included times spent coaching within the Football in the Community Department at West Ham United and the Girl's Centre of Excellence with Barnet Football Club.

Morrison is currently the Head Coach of the boys' soccer program at Lake Oswego HS and is also involved in the running of Lake Oswego SC and Crossfire Oregon SC. He has also coached within Oregon ODP and Region IV ODP Program's.

Morrison graduated from the University of Luton with a BA Hons in Sport and Fitness Studies in 2000.

Gary Osterhage

20 years as Director of Coaching for LOSC, RV Timbers and Washington Timbers. Holds National A License, NSCAA Adv National Diploma, USYSA National Youth License. Former Head Coach at Lakeridge HS Girls Varsity, Men/Women's Head Coach at Linfield College, Men/Women's Asst Coach at Univ of Portland under Clive Charles, 4 year starter at Univ of Portland. Adidas ESP National staff for top 150 girl's players camp for 3 years.

Wash ODP player and captain 3 years, Region 4 ODP player for 3 years and 1st Alternate U17 National team, 1st team Wash All State (Stadium High School). ODP staff coach for OYSA and Wash Youth Soccer, as well as Continuing Education Staff coach with both states. Won 12 state titles in Oregon youth soccer, B/G U13-U19 age groups. Lost in Far West Regional finals with U18 girls. Won National President's Day tournament in Phoenix, AZ with U17 girls.

Gary graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Portland.

Geoff Skipper

Skipper has been a prominent coaching figure in Oregon for nearly 20 years. During this time he has amassed a tremendous amount of experience and success at the club and high school level. He has been involved in coaching both the boy's and girl's at Jesuit HS and before that he was the Head Coach at McMinnville HS and Central Catholic. Geoff has his USSF B License.

Skipper graduated from Oregon State University in 1995 with a Degree in Human Scientific Movement Studies and then a Masters in Teaching in 1997.

Josh Leon

Josh Leon grew up just outside of Los Angeles, CA where we he played club soccer for West Valley Samba (Real So Cal) for many years.

He earned a scholarship to Cal (UC Berkeley) where he played under Coach Kevin Grimes from 2006-2010, winning 2 Pac-10 Conference Championships in '06 and '07.

As a left-footed left back, Josh has a knack to work on improving players' ability to both attack and defend.

While at Cal, Josh coached the collegiate summer camps. Since moving to Oregon in 2010, Josh has coached on and off with U-18 Boys, U-8/9 Boys and U-15 Girls teams within the Crossfire family.

Josh graduated from Cal with a degree in Political Science in 2010 and currently works at Nike, inc.

Kevin Legg

Kevin grew up in San Diego playing for the renowned Nomads Soccer Club under Derek Armstrong. He stayed local for college and played for the Univ. of San Diego where he led his team to the Div. 1 NCAA Championship before falling to the 4 time champion Virginia Cavaliers. He graduated with a degree in Communication and a Minor in History.

After College Kevin went on to play for the San Diego Sockers and the Portland Pride in the CISL, where he scored 29 goals in his rookie season. He ended up playing 9 years in the Indoor league. In the off season he played outdoor with the San Diego Flash and Portland Timbers. In 2001 the LA Galaxy called up Kevin to play in the CONCACAF Champions league, where the Galaxy went on to win the championship.

Kevin started coaching in 1994 and has continued to work with many kids that have went on to play in college and in the pro leagues. Kevin has worked with top clubs in Arsenal FC down in Southern California where he ran the ECNL program. The SoCal ECNL division is recognized as the top league in all of ECNL. He has also worked with the #2 club in ECNL in Crossfire Premier in Seattle.

Besides Kevin's ability to coach at a top level he also manages MLS players, where he gives them advice on their playing and also negotiates their contracts and sets them up with marketing deals. Kevin works with former Timbers Sal Zizzo (New York Red Bulls), Lamar Neagle (DC United) and Collen Warner (Houston Dynamo).

Kevin now heads up the Boys Junior program at Lake Oswego Soccer club and also works with Crossfire United Pre ECNL program.

Louie Jones

Louie has a unique style of coaching that helps to build a strong team bond and breeds confidence in player's ability. With sessions focused on possession and retention Louie is able to instill the qualities of individual expression on the field, this is shown throughout his efforts and desire for players to be brave when in possession enabling players to fully express themselves on the field.

Having played a high standard in the UK and with a range of professional and semi-professional clubs, Louie is able to use his own experience and that from his years of coaching players across the globe to bring a fun and developmental approach to every session. While in Great Britain Louie attained a UEFA B License.

Louie graduated from the University of East London with a Masters in Sports Management in 2015.

Lucas dePinna

As a player Lucas was no stranger to success winning a State Soccer Championship with Jesuit High School in 2011. After a stellar HS career Lucas played soccer and competed in track and field at Whittier College in California.

Lucas's coaching exploits have included stints with Strikers FC in Whittier and more recently at Westview HS as part of the girls' soccer program. Lucas has his ESSF E License.

Lucas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Nutrition Science in 2015.

Mike Iacolucci

Mike has been coaching with Crossfire Oregon since 2014. As the Head Coach of the boys U15 1st team, Mike led the team to the Oregon Premier League state championship in 2015. As U16s, Mike led the 1st team to the quarter finals of the OYSA state cup in 2016. As the Head Coach of the boys U12 1st team, Mike led the team to the 2015 Fall premier division championship and the 2016 OYSA state cup championship! The U12 boys are now the #1 ranked team in Oregon at their age.

Mike graduated from Pacific University where he played all 4 years and earned 1st team All Northwest Conference and 1st team All West Region. His 2010 team won the first Northwest Conference championship in school history. Mike finished with a BA in Sociology before attending graduate school at Utah State University. He later returned to coach the Pacific University Men's program in 2013.

Nick Schwartz

Nick has coached teams at virtually all ages and abilities on the girl's side in both the Lake Oswego SC and Crossfire Oregon since 1997. He is a former President of the LOSC, a former board member of the Oregon Youth Soccer Association and the former Treasurer of the Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation. He has taken LOSC teams to over 200 tournaments in both the USA and Europe, and multiple teams to the quarter finals and semi-finals of State Cup competition.

Nick's teams often overachieve because of their work ethic and the close family bond that Nick has always been dedicated to fostering between players, parents, and coaches. A former three sport athlete in High School and College, Nick believes sports in general--and soccer in particular---serve as an important vehicle to teach student-athletes the life lessons that they will use long after their playing days have concluded.

Besides coaching Club soccer, Nick is also the Assistant Varsity Women's Coach at Lake Oswego High School. In 2002 he was named the Oregon Nike Competitive Coach of the year, and was also named one of only 8 coaches in the USA (1 of 2 in soccer) to win the inspirational "Double Goal Coach" award by the prestigious POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE based at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.

Nick retired in 2014 after a successful career in Sales and Merchandising with Columbia Sportswear and the Merrell Apparel division of Wolverine Worldwide.

Pete Roberts

Pete has been coaching in the Portland area since 1999. Pete grew up in Virginia where he played club soccer for FC Richmond "Magic," and Virginia ODP. He was a full scholarship soccer player for the Rams of Virginia Commonwealth University from 1991-1995. Pete moved to Oregon in 1997 and got back into soccer soon thereafter. Pete has coached Oregon ODP teams as well as being the Boys High School Coach at Oregon City from 2001-2006 before joining Lake Oswego Soccer Club/Crossfire Oregon full time. Pete has worked on both the boys and girls sides of LOSC and Crossfire Oregon ranging from the Youth Development players to U-18 teams.

Pete earned his USSF 'A' License in the winter of 2007 in Tampa, Florida.

Stewart Boniface

Stewart moved from England in 2003 where he had previously played semi-professionally at Maidstone United, Fisher Athletic, Sittingbourne FC, and Chatham Town. Stewart holds the UEFA B license as well as being an AYSO National Coach Instructor. He has now been coaching under the Crossfire umbrella for over 10 years and as well as coaching club soccer he's the Regional Manager and Coach Educator for UK International Soccer. Stewart also coached for Oregon ODP and the Portland Timbers Pre Academy.

Stewart is currently coaching the very successful Crossfire U18 Boys and the vastly improved U14 Boys.

Travis Schoonover

Travis has been coaching in the Portland, Oregon area for over 20 years. Travis graduated from Pacific University with a Masters in Teaching and spent time in the classroom in Stockton, CA where he coached for the California Cougars and St. Mary's HS. His time in the classroom came to an end as he evolved into full-time soccer coaching. He formerly coached at Jesuit HS and Crescent Valley HS in Corvallis as well as Corvallis United and Oregon West. Schoonover is currently a Head Coach with Crossfire United ECNL and is also the Director of Youth Development for Lake Oswego SC.

He is the holder of a USSF B License.
